The Bind Design- VFP13
The BD-VFP13 perfect binder is completely self-adjusting. Its clamp and nipper adjust automatically with excellent cover placement using our Variable Frequency operating system. Our Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) book block placement using our Variable Frequency Motor (VFM). The (VFD) controls motor speed and torque by adjusting the frequency and voltage of the electrical power supplied to the motor. It enables precise, variable speed operations instead of simple on/off with no accurate stoppage of the book block, maximizing energy efficiency, reducing mechanical stress, and extending equipment life. The machine uses a (VFM) Variable Frequency Turbine Motor with double air suction to vacuum up the dust and avoid spine contamination. We have also improved the cover clamping system by using a vertical lift clamp at the cover station. Guaranteeing even pressure during cover attachment. Next we added full controlling of the system adding a self monitoring service operation to inform of any problems or faults with self checking of sensors and motor drive.
With this perfect binder, you can bind a thin book, then a thick book, without any adjustments whatsoever. The BD-VFP13 can bind books that are 6-sheets thick up to 2.28” thick. 13.4" long books at a speed of 400 books per hour with a cycle speed of 460. This machine has a unique, heavy-duty roughing blade that allows for the binding of offset stock, coated stock, and stock with oil-based or wax-based inks. Its glue roller ensures an even glue application as does a reverse metering roller to smooth out the glue. The BD-VFP13 side glues for hinge covers and even creates a light hinge due to the side roller and nipper pressure, which is adjustable. The BD-VFP13 can bind perfectly square-backed books, case bound curved backing or pads for multiple applications. All with a one year parts warranty and 2 year motor guarantee.
